Use this guide to set up monitoring in the correct order.
Simple meanings: The Monitoring Device is the record of the device in the portal. The Pebble Unit is the physical hardware in the field.
Important: Create the Monitoring Device first, then link the tank, then use the link code when configuring the Pebble Unit.
Once you are logged in, the left-hand menu is where you create devices, link tanks, see status, and manage Pebble hardware.
Quick navigation guide to match your left-hand menu:
Monitoring Device: The device record in the portal. This is where monitoring starts.
Device Serial: The portal-generated identifier for the Monitoring Device.
Link Code: The short code used to connect the Pebble Unit to the Monitoring Device.

Record the overflow height. If there is no overflow, use the full tank height. Mount the sensor above the overflow and record the sensor height.
Main and reserve rule: The Main Tank is always the primary tank. If the site uses a reserve tank, add it after the Main Tank is in place.
Main Tank and Reserve Tank. Use Sensor A and Sensor B only where needed for setup detail.

Some tanks have extra bays or solid structures that change capacity. Model these as Tank Objects.
Before you add objects: Edit the parent tank and enable Has additional tank measurements. Then add the object under the correct tank.
Use Main Tank Object for the Main Tank and Reserve Tank Object for the Reserve Tank.
